Model 1 Sicilian

The Model 1 Sicilian is a medium size guitar, larger overall than a standard 000 model but smaller and shallower than a Dreadnought. It’s a versatile guitar, suiting many fingerstyle and plectrum playing styles.
The Model 1 was my first flat-top guitar, introduced in 1983, and for several years the only flat-top I built. In 1992 I introduced a revised version which became the Model 1 Sicilian.
Like all my flat-top guitars, it has a slightly curved soundboard and more heavily curved back.
The guitar shown has Madagascar rosewood back and sides, an Adirondack spruce soundboard and a Cuban mahogany neck.
