12 String large bodied bouzouki

This instrument is now sold subject to confirmation.

Joseph Sobol is selling his 1997 Sobell 12-string cittern on account of a new work-in-progress.

Joseph says:

This 12 string cittern has a very stiff cedar top that combines the power of spruce with the warmth of cedar. The back and sides are of spectacular Honduran mahogany with beautiful ribbon figure. The scale length is 24″. It is fitted with the original LR Baggs pickup. This instrument has been played a lot–in sessions, on stage, and on recordings. It has a huge rich sound, excellent action, tremendous volume. There are the expected 20 years of light dings and some pick wear below the clear pickguard on the face, but no cracks and no serious damage of any kind–it has been a very stable instrument. Here is a video of it being played: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_937EoQTAHE

Will ship in a heavy box with a Reunion Blues Continental rigid gigbag.

Asking 4000 pounds or 5000 dollars. You can contact me at josephdsobol@gmail.com.
